Maryland blue crabs

Maryland is known for its blue crab, so we decided that we would try to catch some.  Unfortunately, we couldn't go crabbing at dusk or dawn because of weekday traffic, so we went during the day in broad daylight aka the time when the crabs don't come out.  We were actually able to catch several crabs, but only four were the required five inches.  Despite the heat, the kids learned to crab and were satisfied with the experience.

 Waiting for a bite

We lost the little kids to electronics after about thirty minutes

The crabs we were catching were quite small...bite-sized you could say

Uncle An caught the biggest crab of the day

Getting a bite is just half the job, you have to be able to net the crab too

After a delicious crab dinner, everyone gathered in the basement to play "Rock Band"
