Our friends Robin and Sabrina scored another great deal...this time with a Four Seasons in Carlsbad. They didn't need the entire week to themselves, so they offered for us to stay for a few days. Weekends are always best for us since both kids are in school now, so we left Friday after Trung got off of work and stayed until check-out on Sunday. The villas were wonderful and huge; as big as if not bigger than our townhouse! The girls immediately ran into their room and started jumping on their bed (something that they are not allowed to do at home) and I was going into each bathroom taking all the L'Occitane toiletries. Sabrina told me earlier to snag all the current toiletries, so that housekeeping would restock the bathrooms with more. :P
We had a great time just exploring the resort and hanging out in the heated pools. Fortunately, we purchased breakfast and lunch foods the night before in Garden Grove, so we only had to go out for dinner. Sabrina, Pierson, and Ava came back up to meet us for a few hours, and the kids just had fun playing with each other. It was definitely a nice little getaway!
